Remember how Jade Tree put up preorders for the repress of The Promise Ring’s Nothing Feels Good today? Well, they repressed the band’s two other albums on the label, 30 Degrees Everywhere and Very Emergency, and put them up for preorder too. What a nice surprise!
Source: I really find the whole Jets To Brazil thing really interesting. its kind of a band project that came out of the blue and didn’t have much like it out in the music scape at the time. while at the time it seemed to be hit or miss for a lot of people, but i think the albums aged really well. listening them today, 15 years later they almost seem more relevant sounding now than they did back then. i know people would give their left nut for a Jawbreaker reunion but i would be a guy who would fly someplace to see these guy play again for real. not like a one off show, but a real “lets do this band again” situation.
Jade Tree Records classics like releases from The Promise Ring, Lifetime, Jets To Brazil, and Pedro The Lion, in addition to the rest of the label’s back catalog, are now available on Bandcamp for $5 or less. Explore the whole catalog here and check out select cuts below after the jump.
